Hello all in Blogger land. This is a new experience for me so please give me a little time and see how I go. I have only just gotten the Internet on so it is like going back to school for me. It is my birthday today and I was given this as a gift.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

On Thursday I made a phone call to Australia Post with a complaint about a redirection of mail. After explaining my situation to the women she said she would have a word to her supervisor, and, would I mind being put on hold for a few minutes. A little while later she came back and as she was about to give me the answer, the phone went dead. I then rang the Telstra's faults number in the phone box to have myself reconnected to Australia Post at no charge. Hooray, I go back on. I then asked if I could speak to the same lady again with whom I had been speaking to before, after giving her name this second person came back and said that the lady didn't have any idea what I was talking about. I asked where had this call gone to. Perth I was told. No wonder the lady didn't know what I was talking about as my first call had gone to Brisbane, well could you please transfer me the call centre in Brisbane I asked. As this was happening the phone went dead again. I now moved to the next public phone box, rang Telstra on their fault line and once again I was connected to Australia Post in Perth. I was starting to loose my Patience by now, could you please transfer me to the call centre in Brisbane I asked. This was the 6th person I had spoken to and after relaying my story so far he said, I will help you madam. Great I said. I will ring the mail center myself tomorrow morning and speak to the man you had seen there and I will ring you about 8.30am on Friday morning. You guessed it. He didn't ring me as stated but it was about 3.45pm when the call came. Sorry he said, couldn't get on to the man, but I left a message with someone else and the man should be ringing you some time on Monday.. Oh by the way have a nice Birthday tomorrow. Thanks I said. It is just as well I am retired and could spend over half an hour on the phone trying to sort out a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Can't wait until Monday. Do you think I will get a phone call. What I want is an extension on my redirection of mail because some very important mail HAD NOT BEEN REDIRECTED, and this is a service I had to pay for.
